Grape Vine Birthday Card

Inspired by Sonya at Appel Quilling Garden I have come to love making cards with grape vines!

I made this card for my aunt for her birthday. She loves different kinds of wine and I thought this would be a nice card for her.

By the way... Sonya is giving her Twirled Paper class again at My Creative Classroom. I would highly recommend it! It was an awesome class.

And... don't forget to enter my giveaway for a personalized fleece stadium throw! Enter here: Out of the Box Sampler Giveaways

Hi all!

I don't know if you've heard of this company.... Out of the Box Sampler but they have the greatest idea! Small businesses contribute samples of their wares. Out of the Box Sampler, or OOTBS for short, puts these samples together and once a month sells boxes of samples from all these great small businesses! I've purchased a couple and have gotten the neatest things!! I love the 'Try before you buy' idea! and also, you see things you might not otherwise have found!

OOTBS has a new giveaway app on their Facebook page! I am doing a giveaway! Yay! Enter HERE to win your own personalized fleece blanket throw!

My giveaway is for one high quality polar fleece approximately 50 by 60 inches with a whipstitched edge. It also comes with it's own elastic carry strap.

I will personalize it with one line of personalization for you.

Pink Posies and Pearls, Add Some Butterflies!

Just a quick post before we head out to Arizona for a week! Where it's warm! And no snow!

I did this birthday card for my sister in law using pink cardstock, embossed with butterflies using my new butterfly embossing folder! The edges are distressed a bit but this picture doesn't do that part of the card justice. I punched some small flowers and put pearls as their centers and added a few quilled scrolls. Then I quilled the butterfly and added some pearls and gems.

I am working on another quilled birthday card but it won't be ready until we return from the warm weather!

Leo's Visit

Happy New Year!!

Well, it is time for Leo to travel to his next destination! I think he had a great visit. The first day he was here I was working on some personalized fleece blankets. He helped me get those ready to ship out. I think he was confused though. He kept trying to get in the box. He thought he was going already too!

So to make him feel more at home I let him try on some bling. He makes a great model.

He helped me make Christmas and Hanukkah cards.
We took a break and went to Fond du Lac to see the lighthouse. This was something I hadn't seen before. It was really pretty but it was also really cold!

He celebrated Hanukkah with us and then learned how to make Eggs Benedict!

All in all I think Leo had a great visit! We will miss him as he travels on to his next destination!
